In the bustling city of Mumbai emerged a startup Blockwee, a specialized marketing agency for web3 technologies. The company, founded by a group of ambitious college students with a passion to do something remarkable started an exciting journey to navigate the uncharted territory of this rapidly evolving Web3 industry. Let us walk through Blockwee's inspiring tale of persistence, innovation, and growth.
Ayush, the co-founder of Blockwee, found initial success as a YouTuber in the cryptocurrency niche. This was his first encounter with web3 which later went on to open up a new world of possibilities for him. His growing interest made him look more into the field which quickly accelerated to attending events, and seminars with his co-founder Bhushan. It turned out to be his breakthrough when he met his first client at one such event in Jaipur. He bagged his first project of 20 videos!
Ayush and his team continued to attend more events and dig deeper into the world of Web3. While the industry was still in its early stages, Blockwee recognized a prevalent challenge. With limited data of people to study, no previous case study with clear-cut answers there was no proven road to success. “Companies were spending huge amounts of money on marketing, more than 10-20k USD per month. Blockwee aims to provide cost-effective marketing solutions, and create a brand” said Ayush.
As with every other business, Blockwee suffered a rough patch. They struggled to secure projects for approximately 6-7 months. However, their relentless dedication led them to attend numerous events, network extensively, and reach out to potential clients. It all paid off when they hosted one of the biggest web3 conferences in Bangalore, becoming the official media partner of the event. This breakthrough opened the floodgates to brand requests and inquiries, but the remote team lacked a physical office space. They connected with Riidl (Mumbai-based startup incubator) recognized the value and potential of their ideas and successfully secured office space, allowing them to gather the entire team, put their ideas on the table, and intensify their content creation efforts. With steady growth, they are now a 10 members team which started from 3.
Blockwee's hard work and expertise garnered international recognition when they received an invitation to the largest crypto expo in the world, held recently in Dubai allowing them to showcase their capabilities on a global scale. With a bootstrap approach, and initial struggles in converting clients, the team faced uncertainty. However, they believed in their vision and chose to let go of their placement opportunities, dedicating eight months solely to Blockwee. The risk paid off! The company now earns over $15000 a month, gained recognition globally, validating their decision to prioritize their startup over immediate job placements.
