From Setbacks to Success: The inspiring journey of Kundan, a self-driven entrepreneur whose passion powered Custkart to success.

In college, while many skipped classes for naps or fun, Kundan used his free time to start his own businesses. Instead of waiting for a job, he wanted to build something that could really make a difference.

During college, Kundan began a startup focused on making salons more efficient with technology. But things got tough when his co-founders decided to pursue job placements, forcing him to change his startup plans for the third time. Despite these setbacks, Kundan never lost sight of his goal to create positive change.

One day, when Kundan was unsure about his startup's future, his juniors asked him for a contact to get merchandise for a college event. Disappointed with the quality and high prices, Kundan saw an opportunity to make things better. He teamed up with a local businessperson to improve the quality and reduce the prices of the merchandise. After delivering the initial order of 10 T-shirts, word quickly spread about the exceptional quality of Kundan's products, leading to another 100 orders.

This experience made Kundan realize his true passion. After graduating, he returned to his village, Pupunki, and started Custkart with his brother in June 2020, with a focus on quality.

Custkart's journey, though successful, has had its challenges. Kundan was hesitant to start another venture after three failed attempts and feared repeating past mistakes. One major challenge Custkart faced was attracting talented workers to their village-based operation. Many people preferred urban areas, making recruitment difficult. Another challenge came from outsourcing issues, where external vendors led to quality concerns.

Learning from past experiences, Kundan addressed these issues strategically. He understood the importance of providing high-quality merchandise with timely delivery at fair prices. To solve recruitment problems, Custkart focused on creating a positive work environment. To address outsourcing issues, they built their own manufacturing unit, ensuring strict quality control and self-sufficiency.

From a small beginning, Custkart's annual turnover grew from 30 lakhs to over 2 crores. They secured partnerships with top institutions like IITs and worked with over 1000 colleges and companies across India, especially in smaller cities.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, which challenged many companies, Custkart saw an increase in demand for their merchandise, pushing the company forward.

Kundan is happy to share that he has been using Swipe for a long time for tasks like invoicing and e-way bills. He finds Swipe easy to use, especially the mobile interface, which saves him a lot of time.

Now, Custkart has big ambitions to become India's top merchandise provider, reaching people in all corners of the country with high-quality products. Swipe is proud to be part of their inspiring journey.
