The Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat program

The Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat program was introduced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2014. The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan program includes it as a sub-program. Children who struggle to read during their early education typically have trouble with certain subjects during their higher education.

The Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat program aims to enhance students' reading, writing, and mathematical abilities in government primary schools. In the early years of schooling, it guarantees a high standard of instruction. It offers a variety of services, including timely distribution of reading material, a perfect setting replete with books, and children's reading material.

The Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat program also has a mentoring program for new teachers and an evaluation system. The teachers are in charge of completing the curriculum within the allotted time because they are essential to the program's long-term success. The mother tongue will be used for the majority of the instruction.

A part of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), which is now integrated with the Samagra Shiksha program, is the Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat. As a result, the Ministry of Education is currently carrying out the Samagra Shiksha scheme, which continues the Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat program.

The Ministry of Education recently began a 100-day reading initiative called "Padhe Bharat," which will run from 1 January to 10 April 2022. This campaign is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which encourages children to develop a love of reading by ensuring that they have access to age-appropriate reading materials in their native tongues or other tribal or local languages.
