Per transaction: ₹5,00,000

Daily limit: ₹6,00,000.

These enhanced limits help people pay large amounts without splitting payments. They only apply if the payment falls under the correct merchant category codes (MCC) approved by NPCI.

UPI 123Pay and UPI Lite Limits

UPI has special formats like UPI 123Pay and UPI Lite. These have their own limits:

UPI 123Pay: This version is for feature phones. It does not use a smartphone app. Here the limit is smaller:

○ Per transaction: ₹10,000.

UPI Lite wallet: UPI Lite lets you keep a small amount of money in a wallet for quick payments.

○ Wallet balance limit: ₹5,000.

○ Per transaction limit: ₹1,000.

These limits are fixed to keep UPI safe & easy for users without smartphones.

New User and First-Day Limits

If you have just created a new UPI ID or linked a new bank account then the first day limits may be lower. For example:

If your UPI ID is new, the limit may be ₹5,000 for the first 24 hours.
