The feature, introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in July 22, 2020, allows users to automate payments easily. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently increased the automatic payment limit over the last £ 15,000 limit, to 1 LAKH per transaction. What is UPI AutoPay?

Upi Autope is a feature that allows individuals to install automatic monthly payments for a fixed amount deducted from their account on a specific date. This service can be used to pay bills, subscribe to web materials and pay for usage services. UPI Autopay was introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) as a way to make recurrent payments for customers using their UPI-coupled bank accounts.

Due to the increasing digitalization of services such as bill payments and financial investments and the rapid adoption of OTT platforms, the increasing demand for member-based payments in India and hence UPI Autope from time to time. How Does UPI AutoPay Work?

Here are the steps involved in using UPI AutoPay:

Step 1: Open an UPI app like Paytm that supports the Autope system.

Step 2: Select the service provider for which you want to set Autope.

Step 3: Provide the UPI app with the required permissions to automatically cut payments from your specified bank account or UPI-connected account.

Step 4: Specify the frequency of payment, such as any other interval provided by weekly, monthly or beetles or service provider.

Step 5: Determine the payment amount for each transaction.

Step 6: Once you have set the autop, you will get confirmation or confirmation.

Step 7: Forward, the UPI app will automatically deduct the amount specified from your specified bank account at the specified frequency.

How Users Can Enable UPI AutoPay with Paytm Subscriptions?

Paytm has added an option for users to link their UPI-enabled bank accounts as a payment source for its recurring payment service. Customers can access this feature by going to the "Automatic Payments" tab under the "Bank" section in the Paytm app. If a user does not have sufficient funds for a scheduled payment in a particular month, they can pause the payment for that month and re-enable it for the following month.
