How to Create Sales Invoice in Tally ERP 9 Release 6 for GST

Step 1: Set up Sales Invoice Configuration

The first step to creating a sales invoice in Tally ERP 9 Release 6 for GST is to set up the sales invoice configuration. Here's how:

1. Go to Gateway of Tally → F11: Features → F2: Inventory Features.

2. Select the item invoice mode as "Yes" and set the "Use invoice mode for" to "Sales".

3. Select the option "Use common ledger accounts for invoicing" and set the "Sales ledger for invoice" to the appropriate sales ledger.

4. Set the option "Print item name with alias" to "No".

5. Save the configuration.

Step 2: Create a Sales Ledger

1. Go to Gateway of Tally → Accounting Vouchers → F8: Sales.

2. Select the sales ledger you created in Step 2.

3. Select the inventory item you created in Step 3.

4. Enter the quantity and rate.

5. Enter other details like the GST rate, HSN code, and tax amount.

6. Save the sales voucher.

Step 5: Print the Sales Invoice

Once you have created the sales invoice in Tally ERP 9 Release 6 for GST, you can print it out for your records or to give to your customer. Here's how:

1. Go to Gateway of Tally → Display → Account Books → Sales Register.

2. Select the sales voucher you created in Step 4.

3. Press Alt+P to print the sales invoice.
