Skill India Mission: Objectives, Key Features, and Initiatives

The Skill India Mission is the first and foremost initiative taken by the Government of India, which is aimed at developing the capacity of the youth to become employable and entrepreneurs. Launched in 2015, this mission is about the creation and organisation of a very robust, large, and highly skilled workforce that is suitable for both domestic and international enterprises. Significantly, it attempts to empower women, the rural workforce, and marginalised communities.

Fully developed computerised teaching tools, i.e. Skill India is committed to technological skills and development, the aim of which is the improvement of the skill levels of people. This initiative has been officially named as the very first initiative to be launched in the Indian Government's "Skill Capital of the World,".
